Japanese buckwheat salad recipe

Ingredients

Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons tamari
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Sea salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Pinch cayenne
Salad
  • 3 cups cooked buckwheat noodles
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, steamed
  • 1 cup carrots, steamed and sliced
  • ¼ cup gomasio, for garnish
How to Make It
  1. Whisk oil, tamari, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and cayenne together in a small bowl.
  2. Place noodles, scallions, raisins, sunflower seeds, broccoli, and carrots in a salad bowl and toss with the dressing. Garnish with gomasio.
