Having steak Marsala for lunch served with a side of vegetables instead or pasta is the real deal. It is always a fulfilling meal and very tasty.  The preparation process is really easy. Just follow the outlined instructions and enjoy.

  • Yield: 4 Servings
  • Cooking Time: 35 Minutes

Ingredients

For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ sliced onion
  • 10 oz mushrooms
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • ½ cup Marsala wine
  • 1½ cup beef broth
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
For the Steaks
  • 4 large steaks
  • 4 tbsp grass-fed butter
How to Make It
    To make the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil. Sauté the onion for approximately 5 minutes until slightly translucent. Add mushrooms and garlic, and cook for 5 more minutes.
  2. Add Marsala wine, and deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom, and add the beef broth. Season with salt and pepper, and cook down until the sauce begins to thicken, 8 to 10 minutes. Set heat on low, and simmer until ready to serve.
  3. To Cook the Steaks
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  5. Set oven to high. In a large skillet, sear the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until browned. Transfer to the oven, and cook for 6 to 10 minutes, depending on how rare you want them. Remove from the oven, and place 1 tablespoon of butter on each steak.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Top with the Marsala sauce, and serve.
